Armando Zesatti (1967) is a self-taught artist. His hyperrealist work, inspired by the vegetation of different regions of Mexico, reveals a remarkable degree of perfection. In his work one can perceive the respect he professes both for nature and for his craft. Through precise and at times almost imperceptible brushstrokes, as in Piedras, rocas y montañas, Zesatti makes evident his ability to recreate textures that are both rough and smooth, rendering shadows and highlights upon them with astonishing veracity. He suggests humidity or dryness, cold or heat through the application of color, offering us canvases that leave us awestruck by the beauty of the Mexican landscape.
